Ministry Update

February - April 2007

Dear Praying Friends,

Spring is almost here! Of course we thought that was the case several times already this year only to be shocked back into reality by cold weather. I think this time it's really here.

We have had some great meetings in the first four months of 2007 that have taken us across the whole country from Virginia to Washington, and everywhere in between.

While driving through the snow and ice of Wyoming and South Dakota in February, we were reminded over and over of the protective hand of God and the prayers of faithful people all around the country. There is no way we could adequately express our appreciation for your continued prayer support, so please accept our simple thanks.

There have been some minor challenges to face in the last few months, such as a lost cell phone/PDA in South Dakota and a broken down van in Crossville, Tennessee. Both were very frustrating but we saw the hand of the Lord in each situation.

There have also been some more serious challenges. We lost two good friends in March. Roman Gray, Sr. went home to be with the Lord March 7th and we re-scheduled some meetings so that I could fly to Fairbanks and speak at the memorial service. Bro. Gray left behind a good testimony and a family dedicated to serving the Lord. On March 17th our good friend Roger Bennett was set free from his hospital bed to stand in the presence of his Saviour. Though we will miss both of them, it is a joy to know that they are rejoicing in Heaven today and we are looking forward to being together with them once again. Please pray for both of these dear families as they deal with their loss.

In April we received news that Liz's mother was not doing well and that her cancer had spread from her liver, lymph nodes and colon, to her lungs and spinal column. The prognosis was not good. The doctors are not offering any hope, but we are not trusting in the doctors. We are trusting in "the name of the LORD our God!" (Psalm 20:7)

Due to Mrs. Paisley's condition, Liz and the kids flew out to Washington to spend some time with her. It was a good time of rest and encouragement for all. We would ask that you continue to remember the Paisley family in prayer. We believe that God can heal Mrs. Paisley if He chooses, and we are praying to that end. Our greatest desire is that no matter the outcome, God will be glorified.

In the months to come, there will be times that I will be in meetings alone while Liz and the children are spending time with her parents. However, most of the time we will be together as usual.

Special thanks to Bible Baptist Church in Mercer, PA and Trinity Baptist Church in Warrenton, VA for the special offerings to repair our van and to help with the unexpected travel expenses for Liz and the children. What a blessing to see how God uses His people to provide for needs in ways that we could never anticipate.

Our new CD is finally done and available for purchase. We have entitled it "Every Need Supplied" and I believe it will be a blessing to you. The songs have already been a source of blessing and encouragement to us and we look forward to sharing them with you in person, as well as by way of CD. There are samples available on the website so that you can hear the songs.

We are looking forward to a busy summer schedule of revivals, camp meetings and Bible conferences all around the country. Check our website for dates and times, as well as a lot of new pictures of Hope and David.
